Dijelaskan jubir Gugus Tugas Penanganan Pencegahan Covid-19 Lahat Taufik M Putra, MM bahwa pasien tersebut ditetapkan statusnya menjadi PDP karena mengalami gejala sesak napas dan dirawat di sebuah rumah sakit di Lubuk Linggau. Penetapan PDP ini didapat dari hasil dari Rapid Test yang menunjukkan hasil positif namun hasil ini belum bisa dijadikan patokan karena harus dilaksanakan pemeriksaan lebih lanjut, dan proses pemakaman dilaksanakan dengan protokol penanganan jenasah pasien covid19.
Oleh sebab itu beliau menghimbau agar masyarakat tidak perlu panik yang berlebihan karena samapi saat ini belum terjadi transmisi lokal di Kabupaten Lahat namun demikian tetap harus waspada, patuhi protokol kesehatan. Dengan memakai masker dan mencuci tangan dengan sabun.
